Above the text in the bottom left corner of your screen, you will find tabs for various chat boxes available to you. You can customize these windows by right clicking on the name of the tab. You can set guild chat to be seen in party chat, or set /say /emote to be seen in other chats besides general chat, see what set up fits you best, It is recommended to use general chat, and use /p or /g to communicate on other channels because of restrictions on other chat boxes on its out going chat type.
